This collection is inspired by the Disney film, Anastasia and the artworks of the artist Olga Rozanova. It contrasts a classic fairy-tale and futurist art pieces by an renowned Avant-Garde painter. The silhouettes are informed by the geometric shapes adopted in Rozanova’s work, combining her extensive use of smooth arcs and curves with the contrasting sharp, defined lines and edges. The vibrant colours and bold strokes in her paintings set the undertone of the prints in this collection. The prints mainly draw inspiration from the film and the beautiful circular motifs shown throughout the course of the film whether it’s decorating a music box, the furniture surrounding, a pendant worn by the protagonist and even on the buildings.
